The hotel was in a marvellous location, to a Cafe down the street. Had supper enjoying drinks at nearby Sfika. My single room was perfect with fantastic view. Having shower facilities and fresh towels was a bonus...

The beds were very clean and the room had a terrace and a little balcony. the location was fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from restaurants and bars. - Staying in the Koukaki district was a great experience. - the hotel is within walking distance of a subway station.

I enjoyed 1 night in this property. The venue was clean and the stuff where super-friendly and outstandingly accommodating. Had great-sized and nicely furnished room with the bathroom and duvet and the terrace for a such wonderful stay. The location was incredible for me, very close to the metro & walking distance from the Parthenon. All the dishes were good, nevertheless you can visit nearby Sfika.

It has a great location, close to the Acropolis, the Plaka and a metro station; yet it is a quiet neighborhood. We liked Alexis, a very nice (bald) guy there who is very helpful, very social and has a great sense of humor. We also liked a friendly lady at the front desk. The breakfast is one of the top two best among the nine hotels in our stay in Greece.
The air conditioning was not working properly. Our room was very warm, and when we turned it in, it leaked. Some drops bounced from a piece of furniture directly to my forefront, which woke me up. There was also a young woman of African descendance nn the breakfast area who was unfriendly and seemed to be pissed off or just hates her job. I said 'hello' to her and she didn't even bother to answer.

Acropolis is about 200 meters away. Location is excellent. administration is polite. Clean.
Toilet and bathroom shared by 4 rooms. In the hallway. That's terrible.

The location was fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from an ancient citadel; the room was extraordinary and spacious; the bathroom was luxurious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and pleasant.

The staff were uniformly wonderful and extremely helpful. They are also concerned about their guests' safety as evidenced by the fact that the concierge/receptionist was standing on the front stoop wringing her hands and about to call the police when I failed to show up as expected. I had requested a cab to the airport and was very clear about the pick- up time being 11 am. Stupid American that I am, I set my watch ahead 9 hours during my layover in Frankfurt never realizing that Greece is yet another hour ahead. I went out for my last wander sauntering up to the hotel at 10:45 my time but 11:45 Athens time. The concierge had the taxi driver waiting and thankfully, I had settled my bill the day before. By some miracle, the cabbie got me to the airport in 21 minutes (harrowing!) and I made my flight to Santorini. Tourism in Athens is down 40% due to their economic woes and everyone is feeling the pinch including the Art Gallery Hotel. They were very welcoming and gracious and I would recommend them without reservation. They are situated on a quiet street that is convenient to EVERYTHING. The Acropolis was less than a 10 minute walk away. You really feel like you;re staying in a residential area rather than the center of town. For me, that was a huge plus.
It would be great if there was a wall-mounted bracket for the hand-held shower so you could actually take a shower!

For a family of 4 the room was a great size for all of us and luggage. From the balcony we has a special view of the Parthenon on the Acropolis (terrific at night). Breakfast was included and quite a good continental spread. Location to the main attractions was excellent too. Safe area, some good authentic eateries near by - try Ambrosia (ask hotel staff for directions). Staff were extremely helpful.
Not the newest hotel going around, however, for the price, location and size we would go back.

perfect rooms, exclusive bathrooms, comfortable beds.
